Monthly Lectures for the Families: “Positive Discipline, a Path to Building Respectful Relationships” with Larissa Machado

The Pan American School of Bahia is pleased to announce the next session of the Monthly Lectures to the Family of this school year. The October’s guest-speaker is Larissa Machado, who will be talking about “Positive Discipline, a Path to Building Respectful Relationships”.

Positive Discipline is based on the concept that discipline can be taught in a firm and kind way at the same time. This philosophy introduces the middle path between authoritarianism and permissiveness, resulting in a variety of tools to help us develop the skills we need in order to build healthier relationships.

Larissa Machado is an educator with over 25 years of educational experience, working with in-service teacher education, school counseling, and Parental Guidance. Specialized in School Psychology and Learning from PUC Campinas, Master in Educational Psychology, Specialist in Psychopedagogy and Health in Childhood and Psychoanalysis, and certified as a Classroom and Early Childhood Parent Educator by the Positive Discipline Association (USA).
